While watching this 13-minute behind-the-scenes featurette of The Dark Knight Rises, for a moment, we forgot we were not in the theatre! If you are waiting for the rise (read release) of The Dark Knight Rises on 20 July, you should NOT miss this video!
The video features the lead cast -- Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway -- along with director Christopher Nolan. And since it is a behind-the-scenes featurette, you can see how the film was actually shot! To describe the scale of The Dark Knight Rises, the first word that comes to our mind is ‘Grand’!
The gadgets, the crowd, the locations, the sets -- all the details and aspects of filmmaking have been dealt with precision. Managing the crowd looked to be the toughest thing to cope with, since some of the scenes featured as many as 10k extras!
There are several quotes in the video that catch your fancy! However, Christopher Nolan touches your heart when he says: “Every great story deserves a great ending, and we really tried to be true to that…The Dark Knight Rises is our attempt to give that great story its great ending.”
