Bollywood’s brother-sister pairs!
It’s said that the first person a brother befriends is his sister, and vice-versa! We all remember the fights and the patch-ups we’ve had with our siblings! The relationship between a brother and a sister is purely beautiful, and several Bollywood films have delightfully showcased this! So, on Raksha Bandhan, we present to you some of Bollywood’s most loved on-screen brother-sister pairs.
Bollywood perhaps got its first unforgettable brother-sister pair in the 70s, in the face of Zeenat Aman and Dev Anand in Hare Rama Hare Krishna! Not only were the songs of the film a rage, the film rocked at the box office and still remains one of the most successful films of Dev Anand!
From the 70s to 2012, several films have released which have shown the adorable brother-sister relationship, but the one which is perhaps our favourite is Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na! Genelia D’Souza as Aditi and Prateik Babbar as Amit played the perfect urban brother and sister, who keep pulling each other’s leg, yet love each other deep down!
Also, who can forget the 2000 film Josh, where Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai played siblings! Though they’ve been seen as a romantic on-screen couple too, they both shared some great bro-sis chemistry in Josh!
