The 'wow' effect
Last time we saw her in a pac-man printed sari, and this time she was doing couture. The face of International Jewellery Week, Sonam Kapoor, attended the gala opening of the event, wearing an off-shoulder Dolce & Gabbana gown in green. Does she bowl you over with her sensuous sartorial pick?

Sonam Kapoor wasn’t alone for the opening. She along with Hema Malini opened the show in company of several members of the film and television fraternity. Dressed in D&G gown, Sonam looked a class apart. The minimalistic look and a braided hairdo gave her an elegant look and she carried off the dress with aplomb and composure, spreading cheers on the ramp. She completed the look with an exquisite diamond necklace by Nirav Modi.

Like always, Sonam Kapoor scores well on our stylometer. Many fashionistas and bloggers were also of the view that she looks better in simple, neat dresses rather than edgy outfits.

While Sonam was in gown, Hema Malini chose a beautiful pink sari in net for the event. On being the guest of honour, Hema said, “Jewellery is an important part of fashion. The new designs and the wide variety of jewellery from all parts of the country make India a wholesome jewellery destination.” Others who graced the first day of the event were Urmila Matondkar, Mandira Bedi, Richa Chadda and Shaina NC.
