Queen of hearts is back!
Not for nothing is she called the queen of hearts. Rani Mukherjee leaves you thoroughly enthralled in this first trailer of her upcoming movie Aiyyaa. So, what’s the queen doing? Melodrama, but with a funny twist! Yes, check out the funny trailer and see it for yourself.
Meet Meenakshi, a Maharashtrian Brahmin girl, who is the queen of sexiness, beauty, intelligence and madness. She’s a bit filmy and exudes oodles of charm. As she reaches the age of marriage, her family starts hunting for a suitable Marathi boy, but Meenakshi wants southern masala, and finds a man desirable, if he smells good.
Catch Rani Mukerji (Meenakshi) saying Mujhe gore log nahi, kale log pasand hain! And her ‘Aiyyaa’ moment comes when she gets awestruck…sorry… smell-struck by the tall, dark and handsome Prithviraj (Surya). To woo him, she rustles up the most innovative pick-up line you’ve heard in any Bollywood film: Tum mujhe pyaar do, main tumhe idli dosa dungi.
The trailer is unexpectedly good for a small-budget film, and when a filmmaker like Anurag Kashyap is co-producing it, one can already smell good cinema. The movie is jointly produced by Viacom 18 and Anurag Kashyap, the people behind the recent hit Gangs of Wasseypur 1 &2. Sachin Kundalkar is the director of Aiyyaa.
It seems the role of Meenakshi was tailor-made for Rani Mukerji. The pretty bong is just superb and spunky in the trailer. With each scene you love her more and more. South actor Prithviraj and other whacky characters look and act well.
Catch the trailer of the film Aiyyaa, and see what happens when a man hunting goes wakda. The movie is releasing on October 12:
