A love story!
Gautham Menon is not tired of making romantic films, nor his fans bored of seeing them. From directing love drama Minnale (2001) to inter-religious love story Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010), Gautham Menon knows what it takes to warm the cockles of the audiences’ hearts. His next Neethaane En Ponvasantham - It could be your love story also looks a complete love picture with Jiiva and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead.
No wonder, the movie has garnered tremendous hype ever since its first teaser went online on Valentine’s Day this year. Following the successful collaborations with composers like Harris Jayaraj and A R Rahman, Gautham decided to work with the legendary Illayaraja in Neethaane En Ponvasantham, thus making the film one of its kind musical of the year. Now, as the movie’s music is out, the movie buffs are eagerly waiting for the film to release.
Besides music, the movie’s USP is its cute couple. Jiiva as the love-struck engineering student Raghu is adorable, while Samantha plays Nithya, a psychology student, stunningly beautiful, independent yet simple at heart. Gautham has even retained Samantha for the Telugu version Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu starring Nani, and also in the Hindi version Assi Nabey Pure Sau featuring Aditya Roy Kapoor in the lead. Though Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu was shot simultaneously with Neethaane En Ponvasantham, and will release at the same time, the work on the Hindi version is temporarily stalled.
It’s learnt that Jiiva has three looks in the film as the film shows a span of 15 years. With a superhit music score, and a very good-looking cast Neethaane En Ponvasantham is the most anticipated Tamil film of the year, and the craze for its Telugu version Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu is also immense.
