A stylish Anna Karenina
Keira Knightley’s much talked about film Anna Karenina, based on the Russian novel of the same name, will hit the theatres in November, but the actress has already started promoting it. Clad in vintage dresses, Keira is channeling Anna Karenina on the October issue of Vogue US. Does she look appealing?
Oh yes! Incredibly sensuous, and stunningly beautiful! Needless to say that Vogue US has styled the lady keeping in mind both contemporary as well the past era. The cover look for which Keira is wearing a Chanel lace dress screams Anna Karenina; however, for rest of the photos, Keira has gone for some weird and dramatic hairdos including eye masks.
As she plays a fascinating Anna Karenina, who is a vamp and a heroine, in the film, Keira Knightely’s varied looks in the spread justify her intriguing character. The actress tells the magazine about the powerful role and why she loved playing Anna Karenina, “She can be incredibly vain and manipulative. She is somebody who breaks her own moral code, and yet the shame and disgust she lives with because of that make her fascinating.”
The 27-year-old actress, who stars in the new Anna Karenina film alongside heartthrob Jude Law, also opened up about her movie choices, revealing that she likes to take on roles that have a bit of ‘bite’.
She tells the magazine: “I’m not really interested in the kinds of women who just take off their clothes or have a sex scene and then say something cool.”
Keira Knightley is all set to wed her Klaxons rocker beau James Righton, but she can never be a stay-at-home mother. For the actress, who started acting at the tender age of 10, Keira says she literally had no life outside of acting.
