Remember the time when Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi scorched the silver screen together as lovers in the 1992 movie Khuda Gawah? A bit of that bonhomie was to be seen when Sridevi appeared on the superstar’s show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 6’ to promote her film English Vinglish.
Sridevi looked resplendent in a Sabyasachi Mukherjee outfit: a plain saree with an ornate full-sleeve blouse. The lady was comfortable on the hot seat across the host Amitabh Bachchan. But then, Big B requested her to show the audiences a few of her dance moves. Since Sridevi is a big fan of the late King Of Pop, Michael Jackson, she chose to shake her leg to a MJ number, but on one condition: Amitabh too would dance with her.
Ever game to entertain on his show, the 69-year-old superstar agreed and danced with the 49-year-old beauty.
The bonhomie between Amitabh and Sridevi must have reminded the fans about the chemistry they shared in films like Inquilab (1984), Aakhree Raasta (1986) and Khuda Gawah (1992).
In fact, after shooting for the show with Sridevi, Amitabh had tweeted that she is “Still the same… effervescent, spontaneous, delightful.”
Amitabh Bachchan has a cameo in Sridevi’s upcoming film English Vinglish, directed by Gauri Shinde, wife of R. Balki who’s directed Amitabh in films like Cheeni Kum and Paa. Gauri and Balki were also the guests on the show.
