Have a Big Laugh
Comedy is a serious business, and Amitabh Bachchan flourished at it in his heydays when he would leave his fans rolling in the aisles with his impeccable comic timing.

Today is a BIG day. Amitabh Bachchan, the superstar who has entertained us for more than four decades turns 70 today, and on this occasion we couldn’t help but compile together some of his hilarious moments from the films of the 70s and 80s when the superstar reigned supreme among the galaxy of other stars.

Nobody has ever made English sound so funny on big screen as Amitabh Bachchan has with his nonstop blathering about English being a phunny language in Namak Halaal or some mumbo jumbo about ‘the juxtaposition of hemoglobin in the atmosphere’ in Amar Akbar Anthony. Or who could forget how he bandaged his mirror image after being beaten summarily in Amar Akbar Anthony, nor could one cease the chuckles when he chaffed Zeenat Aman over her dog in Laawaris.

Though Big B was known as ‘Angry Young Man’, comedy too was his métier, and he remains unmatched and unparalleled to this day despite many an adept actor of slapstick having come and gone after him.
