For all those who were waiting to see a glimpse of Kareena Kapoor from Dawat-e-Walima in Delhi, here’s a peek.
Designer Manish Malhotra is inundated with requests on the microblogging site to upload Kareena Kapoor’s wedding pictures. The designer has regularly updated Kareena Kapoor’s pictures from various wedding ceremonies on twitter. After seeing Kareena’s gorgeous bridal look at the wedding reception in Mumbai, the fans were eager to see her royal get-up for Dawat-e-Walima, which was held in Delhi, October 18.
Director Madhur Bhandarkar along with his wife Renu attended the royal Mughal-themed marriage reception of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, and posed for a close-up with the new begum which was later posted on his twitter profile.
The image of Kareena with Madhur and his wife is a bit hazy because of the lights, but one can easily notice the opulent dress in pink and heavy jewellery on Kareena’s neck. It was a very marvelous gharara paired with a rather long kurta that had full-sleeves. Kareena tied her hair back in a neat bun. While sister Karisma Kapoor was wearing a white dress that had golden work on it. Saif's beti Sara was also seen at the party. The girl looked pretty wearing a green anarkali.
The politicos who attended the big night were Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Kamal Nath, Farooq Abdullah, Arun Jaitley, Sitaram Yechury, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Amar Singh, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and the Planning Commission's Montek Singh Ahluwalia.
Hair specialist Shenaz Hussain, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's wife Gursharan Kaur, former cricketer Kapil Dev, designer Ritu Kumar, actress Nandita Das, maestro Amjad Ali Khan, were also among the invitees.
