Vijay in a mass entertainer!
The ‘Ghajini’ fame A.R. Murugadoss is going to return to the big screen with his entertainer Thuppakki starring Tamil star Vijay with Kajal Aggarwal. The first trailer of the film received an overwhelming response from the audience. So, what can the fans expect from the biggest Tamil release of the season?
Recently, director A.R. Murugadoss revealed a few things about the plot of Thuppakki, slated to release on November 9. According to Murugadoss, the film is not based on Mumbai 26/11 attacks, as many have speculated after seeing the trailer. Murugadoss has made this film to warn people that they should always be alert to the possibility of attacks.
The movie, just like its promo, is going to be a great entertainer but has a serious story. Murugadoss chose Vijay for this movie because he is a superstar with a huge fan following, also his demeanor of a common man helps him to connect with masses.
It’s said that a lot of research has gone into the making of the film and not a single shot of the movie has been canned in Chennai. The story of the film is set in Mumbai and it revolves around a youngster (Vijay), who is from a Mumbai-based Tamil family. The vivacious young man’s life undergoes a sudden turn, and the major decision he takes after that forms the crux of the rest of the story.
Thuppakki has a dream team backing. The film is produced by S. Thanu and has background score and soundtrack composed by the talented Harris Jayaraj, while cinematography is handled by Santosh Sivan. The ace cinematographer will introduce the Arri Alexa camera to Indian cinema with Thuppakki.
