The fashion’s new it girl Kate Upton has finally got her first Vogue cover. First, she glammed up Sports Illustrated and now is scorching the cover of the fashion bible Vogue. A sexy blonde gifted with perfect curves, Kate has indeed taken the world of high fashion by storm, something she was trying to achieve.
The bombshell is often at the receiving end of flak because of her curves. Earlier this year, Victoria’s Secret commented that she is a girl with “the kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.” Now, Kate Upton’s detractors may eat their words, because the girl is going places, and has shown the fashion world that she can be more than mere a bikini model.
Clad in Fendi fur and a Patricia Field bustier, the model bares her enviable cleavage for the ‘Helmut Newton-style’ November cover, shot by the photographer Steven Meisel. The 20-year-old model also appeared in a seven-page inside spread for November issue of American Vogue. The magazine tagged her as 'The New Girl', and next she was on the cover of Vogue Italia.
In her retro get-up with scarlet lips, and diamonds adorning her neck, Kate definitely works her mojo on the cover, which simply says, ‘SEDUCTIVE’.
Embracing her curves and not following the general norm, Kate tells Vogue US, “I don’t want to starve myself... I still want to hang out with my family and be a normal girl. You have to be confident, and that doesn’t mean starving yourself.”
