Bollywood stunner Aishwarya Rai was the cynosure of all eyes at a jewellery showroom launch in the Gujarat city Vadodara.

The actress took a break from her usual Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla ensembles and opted for an apple green coloured Falguni Peacock and Shane Peacock anarkali with a net dupatta. She kept her lush tresses open and wore minimal make-up.

Aishwarya Rai got a very warm reception from her fans in the city. Thousands lined up the streets to the Kalyan Jewellers showroom in Vadodara that the actress arrived to inaugurate. Not the one to disappoint the fans, Ash addressed the gathering and had words of praise for the progress in Gujarat.

“I'm familiar with the incredible progress. Gujarat has been going from strength to strength and the nation has been witnessing it,” Aishwarya Rai said.

The actress added that she feels at home in Gujarat and has had a special connect with the people since the days she shot Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam there.

“I am so glad to be considered as part of family in this state and I feel totally at home. It has been a long-standing relationship and became even closer from my film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,” she said.

The actress also clarified that she hasn’t bid adieu to acting, but will consider a return if something interesting comes along.
