Star babies who hogged attention in 2012

Stork paid a visit to many Bollywood beauties in 2012. Cute little bundles of joy, heaven-sent, hogged a lot of media attention. But one baby who made headlines was Aaradhya Bachchan. Though born last year, Aaradhya came out of her beautiful mom’s protective hiding to reveal her lovely face to the world.

Aaradhya, born in November 2011, was well hidden from the paparazzi lenses for a good part of the year, until mom Aishwarya Rai began giving the world little peeks of the cute one’s face. On November 1, Aishwarya Rai revealed Aaradhya to the world at an event where she (Ash) was honoured with the prestigious French Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters for her contribution to the arts.

At the event, we also got to see how attached Aaradhya was to her mom, for when Ash left Aaradhya with Abhi to step on stage to accept the award, the little one began to cry.

"Such ambiences do get overwhelming for babies. That's why we get protective. We would love to share our personal moments with all of you, but we tend to take care of our babies." Aishwarya Rai told the gathering.

As Aaradhya turned a year old in November, there were other cute new entrants in the bandwagon of star babies. The couples like Akshay Kumar-Twinkle Khanna, Lara Dutta-Mahesh Bhupathi, Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra, and Amrita Arora-Shakeel Ladak became proud parents of baby boys or girls.
