Year 2012 saw some terrific performances by Bollywood divas. If Vidya Balan’s searing portrayal of a pregnant woman searching for her missing husband in Kahaani was a class apart, Deepika Padukone’s convincing enactment of a rich, spoilt, feisty yet vulnerable girl in Cocktail won accolades. Katrina Kaif wowed her fans as a London girl sacrificing her love for a vow in Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Both Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu came up with commendable performances as film stars becoming victims of their own fame in Heroine and Raaz 3, while Sridevi returned and impressed one and all, playing a timid housewife taking on the challenge of learning English after being scorned at for her ignorance of the language in English Vinglish. But, according to the ApunKaChoice fans, no performance comes close to Priyanka Chopra’s incredibly nuanced portrayal of an autistic girl Jhilmil in Barfi!. ApunKaChoice fans voted Priyanka Chopra as the Best Actress of 2012.
