Get ready, action lovers in India; January 4, 2013 is the date when Jackie Chan’s most ambitious film yet, Chinese Zodiac, releases in the country.
The film holds more than special importance in Jackie Chan’s career since it earned him two Guinness World Records title: first, ‘Most Stunts Performed by a Living Actor’ and second ‘Most Credits in One Movie’. In Chinese Zodiac, Chan holds fifteen credits to his name: writer, director, lead actor as Asian Hawk, producer, executive producer, cinematographer, art director, unit production manager, catering coordinator, stunt coordinator, gaffer, composer, theme tune vocalist, props and stuntman. Phew, isn’t this man a storehouse of talent?
Speaking about the film, Chinese Zodiac showcases the story of how Asian Hawk (Chan) brings back the bronze head statues of the 12 Chinese Zodiac animals which were sacked by the French and British Armies from the Summer Palace in Beijing in 1860. Reportedly, Chinese Zodiac will be Jackie Chan’s last stint with action, and he left no stone unturned to make this film a memorable watch for the cinegoers since a major fight scene in the film cost something about 10 million U.S. Dollars.
The film should be high on action and Chan’s typical whacky humour. Catch the trailer below and let us know if you are planning to watch the film on January 4. Also catch some pics from the film on the following pages.
