Ram Charan Teja may have been busy with the new Zanjeer, but he hasn’t ignored Tollywood. The South star, who has given hits like Magadheera, is back with another action entertainer in 2013; the movie Naayak is expected to do good business at the box office.

Directed by V V Vinayak, the movie has released today, January 9. The makers are hoping that the movie will cash in on the Sankranthi weekend and earn better collections. The previous release date of Naayak was October 17, 2012, but due to some reasons it couldn’t release last year.

In the movie Ram Charan Teja gets to romance two beauties -- Kajal Aggarwal and Amala Paul. Actually, the actor plays double role in the film. While one is the man of masses, the other one is a classy boy. In the first half of the movie, the mass guy is shown committing a series of murders, and the second guy (also played by Ram Charan Teja) gets arrested for these murders. When the judge is about to declare the judgment, the real culprit appears before the court and surrenders. The second half of the film is all about why he killed people.

Director VV Naayak is all praises for Ram. He says, “Most people find Chiranjeevi in Ram. I felt the same while working with Ram Charan. 'Magadheera' was a special film in Ram's career and 'Naayak' would also be one of the best in his career. 'Naayak' has come out well.”

Since most of Ram Charan’s films have a remix song of his father as a sentimental factor, for Naayak, the song Shubhalekha Rasukunna from Kondaveeti Donga has been remixed.
