Rani V/s Deepika
Rani Mukerji made a style splash at the Inaugural ball in the honour of the 44th President of The United States of America, Barack Obama. The actress was also felicitated by the US Embassy at the event, for which she chose a gorgeous saree by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Yes, she looked awesome, but the same saree was spotted earlier on Deepika Padukone. Can you guess when?
It’s a clash of style, but we can’t blame Rani Mukerji as the actress loves wearing a Sabya creation, especially his sarees. The lehenga-inspired saree in black with tiered silhouette was a great pick considering the event, but the attire did ring a bell. Deepika Padukone -- you’ll recall if you have a good photographic memory -- wore the same ethnic attire in the song Second Hand Jawaani from the movie Cocktail, for which she was styled by the famous Anaita Shroff Adajania.
After the release of the song, the fashionistas went gaga over Deepika’s look in it. To suit her feisty character of Veronica, the saree was draped in such a way that her slender midriff lay bare. Also, Deepika went for a sexy noodle-strap blouse to accentuate the oomph quotient.
However, on Rani Mukerji, the saree looks more elegant. Now the question is: who wore this Sabyasachi Mukherjee saree in a better way? Do you love the sexy version on Deepika or you like the graceful drape on Rani?

Rani graced the occasion co-hosted by NGO ‘Namaste America’ along with US Embassy. The 34-year-old actress was appreciated by the US Embassy for her contribution to the Indian cinema. Rani said that it was an honour for her to be there, especially because President Barack Obama’s swearing ceremony was being held on the same day in Washington.
