Come what may, couples will verily grab tickets for Safe Haven and watch it with their respective spouse. What makes us so cocksure? Well, when a film is based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, the author of The Notebook and Dear John, there is no chance any lover would wanna miss it.
Starring Cobie Smulders, Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel, Safe Haven is all set to release in February -- the Valentine month. The film centres on Katie Feldman (Julianne Hough), a young woman with a mysterious past, who escapes to Southport, North Carolina.
Owing to her past experiences, Katie builds defences around her heart to stay away from love. Being a great buddy that she is in How I Met Your Mother, when Robin...err...Cobie Smulders asks Hough how she likes this new place, she replies: “It has definitely changed the pace from somewhere I really don’t want to go back to.” This is followed by a flashback where we see her cutting her hair down and running away to escape all the sufferings.
However, even after trying her best to avoid love, Katie can’t help it when Cupid strikes. She falls in love (and makes love) with Alex Wheatley (Josh Duhamel); and when Katie’s past catches up with her, Alex assures he’ll take care of her and handle it all. But will love triumph over her mysterious past?
