Armaan Jain all set!
Imtiaz Ali gave Kareena Kapoor a role of her lifetime! Kareena Kapoor was exemplary as Geet in Jab We Met. Now Imtiaz Ali’s brother Arif is gearing up to don the director’s cap, and will reportedly direct Kareena Kapoor’s cousin Armaan Jain.
Kareena’s cousin Armaan Jain, son of Randhir and Rishi Kapoor’s sister Reema Jain, is indeed another Kapoor on the block, but with a different surname. The 21-year-old boy is getting ready for his debut film -- a Saif Ali Khan production.
“Arif is making his first film for Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan's production house, Illuminati Films. Although details are being kept under wraps, Kareena Kapoor's cousin, Armaan Jain will make his debut with the film,” a source tells a tabloid.
Arif is no novice in filmmaking. Just like Imtiaz and Sajid (Imtiaz’s other sibling), Arif, too, started off as a writer. He wrote dialogues for Ahista Ahista (2006). It’s heard that the new movie is going to be a sweet rom-com as Arif has a strong hold on his story and dialogues.
Currently, Illuminati Films is tight lipped about the entire venture, but the buzz is strong that the hunt is on for a new girl to be paired opposite Armaan.
Now, something about Armaan Jain: He was always keen on doing films. After learning the ropes of filmmaking from Karan Johar for three years, Armaan now feels he’s ready to face the camera. He has assisted Karan Johar in the past, and was also an assistant director on Shakun Batra’s Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu that starred his cousin Kareena Kapoor.
