Watch Tom Cruise in action in new ‘Oblivion’ trailer

While the first trailer of Oblivion was more about how 60 years ago the world was attacked and we won the war but lost the planet, this new video is more about the protagonist Tom Cruise (who plays Jack Harper) and his deep dark haunting past!

“Is it possible to miss some place you've never been? To mourn a time you never lived,” asks Cruise, to which Andrea Riseborough (who plays his colleague Victoria) replies their job is not to remember. Clearly, something is fishy.

Jack Harper and Victoria are a part of the mop-up crew, who clear the remains of the alien race from the deserted planet earth. Meanwhile, Harper sees flashes of a mysterious girl (Olga Kurylenko) in his dreams; is there any past connection between the two?

The next thing you know, a group of apparent-humans led by Malcolm Beech (Morgan Freeman) attack the planet and when Victoria asks Jack to return to the tower (their sci-fi office), he rather chooses to fight. And guess what, the girl Jack sees in his dream is in front of him and even calls him by his name!

Beech then further whets the curiosity of Jack stating that there’s more to the story than he (Jack Harper) knows and his colleagues are lying and hiding things from him.

Whatever is the case, Tom Cruise as Jack Harper must fight it through and come out of his obliviousness; after all, Earth is a memory worth fighting for.
