Buckets of marigold flowers were brought on the sets of Rohit Shetty’s film Chennai Express where the lead actors Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone were spotted shooting.

The first look of the film has already intrigued the fans, what with the gun-toting Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone posing in shirt and lungi. Now, as behind-the-scenes stills from the sets of the film make it to the web, the curiosity goes a few notches up.

This new still shows the leading actors in what looks like a garden or nursery amid freshly plucked flowers. Presumably filming a romantic scene.

Chennai Express is easily one of the most awaited films of the year. It’s set to hit theatres on Eid this year. Yes, Salman Khan’s favourite slot has been wrested away by his arch rival this time. More interestingly, Shahrukh recently revealed that the film’s credits would have Deepika’s name appearing before his, an initiative to honour women and let them have their rightful place.

ApunKaChoice hears that the first trailer of Chennai Express might clash with that of Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 3, but we will let you in on more as soon as the clash is confirmed.

For now, enjoy the stills of Deepika Padukone and Shahrukh Khan from the sets of the film. Going by Rohit Shetty’s record of 100 crore hits, this one is a slamdunk blockbuster of Eid.
