Sonakshi goes de-glam
Ever since she entered Bollywood, she has maintained her desi image on screen, be it her dream debut Dabangg or her blockbusters from last year, Rowdy Rathore and Son Of Sardaar. Sonakshi Sinha’s next Lootera with Ranveer Singh is a period film, and this time too she has retained her ethnic charm, but sans make-up.
Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the film will have Sonakshi Sinha almost wearing no make-up. The first promo of the film shows a beautiful Sonakshi, draped in lovely sarees, and one can’t miss her simplicity and sublime elegance. For her look in the film, Sonakshi has just used kajal to highlight her big eyes.
“Sonakshi has used minimal make-up in the film. She has only darkened her eyes with kohl to get the tragic look for her role. It’s a complete emotion driven film and no make-up was required,” a source tells a daily.
For Sonakshi Sinha, too, it was a challenge doing a film like Lootera. Sources further claim that the lovely actress wanted to go complete de-glam for the film as it’s a genre that Sonakshi hasn't tried before.
Lootera is set in the 1950s, and to play her part perfectly, Sonakshi has taken inspiration from the yesteryears actresses Madhubala and Waheeda Rahman.
