Popularly known as Mass Maharaja with his slew of hits at the Telugu box office, actor Ravi Teja always desired to cross over into Hindi cinema. It’s learnt that the actor recently met director Samir Karnik (of Heroes and Yamla Pagla Deewana), who especially flew down to Hyderabad to narrate the script. Teja has agreed to do his film.
Director Samir Karnik is thrilled to cast Ravi Teja in the movie. The director believes that the actor has the potential to “crack” the Hindi market. As Ravi Teja’s superhits are all action-comedies, Samir is also planning his movie on the same line. The director is also sure that the actor would be a “smash hit” in his movie.
Ravi Teja confirms his Bollywood debut and says, “I wanted to do a Hindi film for the longest time. But a proper one and a good production.” Ravi is also open to multi-starrers because according to him those work better in Bollywood.
One of Ravi Teja’s biggest hits Vikramarkudu (2006) was successfully adapted in Hindi as Rowdy Rathore starring Akshay Kumar, and his Kick (2009) is getting a Hindi remake that will have Salman Khan.
While he is getting ready for a Bollywood debut, the star’s latest Telugu release Balupu has opened to packed houses and is expected to be a high grosser.
