Honestly speaking, the Child’s Play series has affected the childhood of many a kid. Nippers love sleeping with their dolls; but thanks to the horror film series, little ones, and perhaps some superstitious teenagers too, think twice before hugging a doll.
The trailer of Curse of Chucky, the sixth instalment in the Child’s Play series, has premiered and brings back fond (well not fond exactly) memories of the slayer doll. Chucky is still possessed by the disembodied spirit of the serial killer, voiced by Brad Dourif.
Barb (Danielle Bisutti), the older sister of Nica (Fiona Dourif), arrives in town with her young family to help her with their mother’s funeral, after she commits suicide. Barb’s young daughter falls in love with a smirking, red-haired talking doll named Chucky that arrived recently in a mysterious mail. Nica is fearless, and initially does not believe Chucky is responsible for deaths happening in her family. However, the serial killer in the doll has made up his mind to finish the job he took more than two decades earlier. The story certainly has a lot of scope to scare the viewers.
The trailer of the film, too, has several spine-chilling moments, one of them being Chucky pushing the wheelchair-ridden Nica.
