Keanu Reeves has fought against many with his cool weapons in the Matrix series; however, in his upcoming film 47 Ronin, Reeves wields a sword.
47 Ronin centres on a group of samurais seeking vengeance on Lord Kira (played by Tadanobu Asano), who killed their master Asano and banished the group thereafter. The Ronin approach the outcast Kai (Reeves) to join the group since the people who exiled and enslaved him are the ones who murdered their master; a common enemy.
Apart from being an exceptionally capable samurai, Neo...err... Kai is a daredevil! Not only humans, he is willing to take on dragons as well. Rinko Kikuchi, who piloted a Jaeger in Pacific Rim, is seen turning into a dragon in the trailer. Going by the video, 47 Ronin looks to have all the elements of a perfect fantasy-adventure-action film.
It reportedly took around $200 million to film 47 Ronin. The movie was initially set to release in November 2012, before being pushed to February 2013. However, the film will finally hit the marquee this Christmas. Well, after watching the trailer, all we wish for is no further postponement in the release of the film.
