While the jury is still out on Ashton Kutcher role-playing Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic Jobs, going by the trailers and videos released so far, the actor’s look and body language does resemble that of late Jobs’.
Speaking about the inspiring innovator, Ashton Kutcher says in the featurette: “Steve Jobs was an inventor and an artist but we all don’t really know what made Jobs great.”
Kutcher is right; not many are familiar with Steve Jobs’ struggle against all odds to fulfil his vision and bring computers (and iPhones, and iPods, and what not) to the world, while others did not even understand the concept of such machinery back then. The film, in the words of Kutcher, starts with Steve Jobs as a rebellious kid. Those who know about the visionary know how hard it was to please him. Jobs’ pursuit for perfection often irked those working under/with him. Luckily for the world, Jobs didn’t care about anything/anyone else but Apple.
“We use products and never think who is responsible for all these things that are a part of our daily lives,” says Ashton Kutcher. Jobs is slated to release in the US on August 16, and we have high hopes pinned to the film.
