After winning the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award for U.S. dramatic film at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and the Best First Film at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, biographical drama Fruitvale Station is all set to hit the Indian marquee this September.
Having earned critical appreciation from all over, Fruitvale Station will reportedly release in India on September 27; the final word, however, is yet to come out.
The film is based on the tragic real-life story of Oscar Grant, a 22-year-old man whose story shook the entire world to the core. On the morning of December 31, 2008, Oscar Grant decides to follow his resolutions a day before the start of the next year. Grant’s resolutions include being a better son to his mother, whose birthday falls on New Year's Eve, a better partner to his girlfriend, who he has been dishonest to, and a better father to T, their sweet 4-year-old daughter.
