Deepika shoots for her debut collection!
Her clothes have always been a rage among the girls. Take, for instance, her tie-and-dye-printed flared kurti in Love Aaj Kal or her sexy red sharara with skimpy choli in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Deepika Padukone’s penchant for easy chic and her classy approach to fashion is something every fashion buff can relate to. Now, the actress has given her valuable ideas for Van Heusen’s new collection.
Yes, Deepika Padukone has turned fashion designer with a 'Limited Edition' collection of a renowned brand like Van Heusen Woman. The actress has co-created the collection. The theme of the collection, which is available in the stores now, is inspired from old Hollywood glamour. The collection is an amalgamation of vintage and the contemporary. The crisp texture, clean lines and body-fit silhouettes are the highlights of the collection.
With Deepika, the brand has also experimented with their colour palette and has moved on from pastels. Monochromatic hues have been used for most of the designs, something Deepika herself has a knack for.
Deepika recently shot for the campaign at historical places of Milan like Piazza Del Duono, Di Viole Di Liquirozia, The Hallway - Galleria Vittorio, Mercato De Piazza and Park Bench - La Scala amongst others. You can catch a few stills from the collection in the coming pages.
Talking about her experience as a designer, Deepika says, “Well I’m hardly a designer, I think I am someone who has ideas but I’m not very good at executing. But I’m very open to seeing new things and sharing my ideas and then of course I need people to help me put it all together.”
