Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba is set to make her debut in Punjabi films and visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Monday to pray for the success of the film Heer and Hero that releases on Friday.
It was a return to her roots for Minissha Lamba, who comes from Punjabi lineage. She, along with actor Arya Babbar, Preet Bhullar, and director Sagar S Sharma, visited the Golden Temple, prayed and later interacted with media.
“It’s a matter of pride for me to be part of Pollywood. I play a happy-go-lucky girl, something that I hadn’t done in a long time,” Minissha Lamba said. She plays a fashion designer named Geet in the film.
Arya Babbar plays Fateh, a youngster in love with Geet.
“I hope people will love me more in this role than the other ones,” Babbar said.
Set to release on October 18, Heer and Hero also has Hazel Keech in an item song. The rest of the cast includes Manoj Pahwa, Mukul Dev, Yograj Singh, Balraj Syal and Hobby Dhaliwal.
