Wayward youth driven by hormonal locha find a better sense and purpose to life in the upcoming T-Series presentation Yaariyan.
The first trailer of the film wavers from juvenilia to jingoism. Newcomer Himansh Kohli plays a lust-driven youth. He is an irrepressible skirt-chaser who’s set his eye on the prettiest girls of the college. So driven is he by his hormones that he can’t relate to emotions of patriotism nor can he understand why his martyred dad gave his life away for the country.
Evelyn Sharma, Rakul Preet and Nicole Faria are the pretty girls hotting up this trailer. Newcomers Shreyas Pardiwala and Dev Sharma complete the bunch. Life is a party for this brat pack. Our hero is a consummate flirt. Even as he locks lips with one girl, his eye is glued to the derriere of another.
But then, out of the blue comes the bolt that changes his life forever. Enters Gulshan Grover. He wisecracks, “Zindagi mein sabse badi khushi tab milti hai, jab aapki country ka flag shaan se lehra raha hota hai.”
So our skirt-chasing, hormonally-driven hero transforms into a die-hard patriot and takes part in what looks like a contest to make his country proud.
Yaariyan is directed by Divya Khosla Kumar and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar.
