Bollywood will see off year 2013 with a bang. From Shahid Kapoor’s daredevilry to Aamir Khan’s chicanery, there’s a lot for a movie buff to trip on.
So, yet another year is drawing to a close. And what a year 2013 has been. Box office records were smashed left, right and centre. The 100 crore club is increasingly becoming redundant and it’s the 200 crore club that’s gaining currency. And don’t rule out December to throw up a mega blockbuster or two.
A year after his film Talaash wowed many, Aamir Khan returns to the big screen this month as a gymnast, an acrobat, a magician, a trickster, a chicaner and a robber all rolled into one. He’s not on some mercenary mission to amass wealth. The reason he’s taken the law in his hands is somewhat deeper, emotional, personal. Keeping him company in his thefts is the beautiful Katrina Kaif who too plays an acrobat in Dhoom 3, perhaps the most awaited movie of the year, slated to hit theatres on December 20.
Trade pundits have already got their grey cells working to predict that Dhoom 3 might even surpass the highest ever grosser record currently held by Krrish 3 (Rs. 243 crore and still counting).
Shahid Kapoor too looks set to break his jinx of flops with director Prabhu Deva’s R… Rajkumar which has got a very positive response from the audience so far.
