Armaan Jain, son of Randhir and Rishi Kapoor’s sister Reema Jain, is the new Kapoor on the block, but with a different surname. The 21-year-old boy always had his eyes set on a Bollywood career.
His debut film is jointly produced Saif Ali Khan, Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla (Eros). There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the film since last year. Titled Lekar Hum Deewana Dil after the Nasir Hussain's hit track from Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973), the film will not only mark Armaan Jain’s debut but also of a newbie actress opposite him. Names of newcomers like Deeksha Seth, Nikita Dutta and others have doing the rounds as the possible heroine of the movie.
In a media statement, Saif Ali Khan has also confirmed the news, “For starters, I am co-producing a film with Armaan Jain (Kareena Kapoor's cousin). It is being directed by Imtiaz Ali's brother Arif.”
Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is expected to go on the floors soon, and its music will be by Imtiaz Ali’s favourite A R Rahman.
For the movie, Armaan has even grown stubble. The debutant has assisted Karan Johar in the past, and was also an assistant director on Shakun Batra’s Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu that starred his cousin Kareena Kapoor.
