The movie, directed by Navneet Behal, is a twisted love story of Babu (Richa Chadda) and Munna (Nikhil Dwivedi). Munna is a kidnapper from UP. Babu is a street-smart drug peddler from Delhi. They get to know each other in police custody, but when they are being escorted to jail, fate intervenes. The police bus meets an accident, and the two criminals go scot free.
From the start, Munna and Babu don’t see eye-to-eye while on the run from the law. While Munna falls for Babu, she’s a tough customer. She’s foul-mouthed, rough, and nobody’s fool.
The trailer also sees Munna and Babu turn into robbers, much on the lines of Bonnie and Clyde. While the law is chasing their tail, they get into a worse scrape with a dreaded don Rana Tau, who speaks fewer words than the bullets he fires.
Tamanchey is produced by Suryaveer Singh Bhullar and has cinematography by Dani Sanchez Lopez. The film’s music is by Krsna, the main highlight being the modern rendition of RD Burman song ‘Pyar Mein Dil Pe Maar De Goli’.
