Bollywood superstar Salman Khan kept his commitment and showed up in Toronto for the music launch and premiere of the movie Dr. Cabbie which is being presented by Being Human Foundation and stars Katrina Kaif’s younger sister Isabelle Kaif.
The music launch, held at Silvercity Cinemas in Brampton on Aug 30th Saturday, saw Salman Khan take to the stage with much gusto. Sharing the limelight with him was Isabelle Kaif, Kunal Nayyar and the film’s leading man Vinay Virmani.
A lot of NRI crowd had gathered to see Salman Khan in flesh and blood. The superstar last came in Toronto about eight years back. So he made sure not to disappoint his fans.
Dressed casually in a blue full-sleeved T-shirt, Salman sang, danced to songs from Kick and Bodyguard. He shook a leg with the Dr. Cabbie actors and seemed to back Isabelle Kaif particularly.
“I am here in Toronto after eight years. Someday, god willing, I will come back and perform for you all,” Salman Khan said to the roaring crowd.
The superstar praised Dr. Cabbie and put in a good word for Vinay Virmani.
“I watched the film last night and it’s an out-and out comedy…Vinay Virmani is a great actor. He should come to Mumbai. I urge you all to watch the movie,” Salman said.
Dr. Cabbie stars Adrianne Palicki in the female lead opposite Vinay Virmani. The film tells the story of an unemployed Indian doctor (Virmani), who drives a cab in Canada and becomes a local hero when he converts his taxi into a mobile clinic.
