'Dil Kabaddi' tackles the journey of two modern-day couples caught in the web of post-marital boredom and their irresistible temptation for some extra-marital fun.
A bored banker, Samit is suffering from a 7-year itch much earlier than he should be. His mind is filled with sexual fantasies for a hot siren Kaya (Payal Rohatgi). And he loves to hate the intellectual side of his wife Mita.
A cosmetic surgeon, Mita is a stickler for cleanliness. She loves and hates her husband Samit. She is passionate about art and hates massages as she considers them unhygienic. Mita stirs up a hot passion in Veer who unwillingly falls for her.
A professor, Rishi always fell for wrong kind of women except Simi. He has a weakness for bad women. Being a writer, his imagination is always in overdrive, fantasizing about a hot and lusty affair with one of his students.
She works as an agony aunt for a magazine and thinks her husband Rishi is a real stable guy. Yet she is searching for someone better. Simi finds Veer very tempting, but only after she has set him up with Mita.
Veer is Simi's colleague. He's single, heartbroken, but with a good sense of humour. He was attracted to Mita at first sight. But she is married to Samit.
She is an aerobics instructor and Samit's hottest fantasy. Kaya gets attention wherever she goes. And she has exercises for everything.
Synopsis:
Samit (Irrfan) and Mita (Soha) : While Samit is proud of his philandering ways and thoroughly enjoys the adventure and experimentation, Mita is at the receiving end of his adulterous ways. His pride along with her suffering defines their relationship.
On the other hand, Rishi (Rahul Bose) tries really hard to walk that extra mile and get rid of his monogamy. His wife Simi (Konkona) struggles to decide whether she is really cut out for something outside of marriage.
As the four saddle their way on the marital marathon, they come across Kaya (Payal), who spices up the goings-on between Samit and Mita. Also enters Raga (Saba), who gives Rishi the motivation to take the next step. And there is also Veer (Rahul Khanna) who settles for a short stint with Mita and becomes the sole reason for Simi's confusion.
How the quartet handles these complex, sensitive matters of the heart, and how they solve the never-ending quests which their hearts put them through, with some winning the battle and some ending up with a broken heart, is essentially the crux of the plot of 'Dil Kabaddi'.
The movie, directed by Anil Senior, has music by Sachin Gupta. The film is set for a December 5 release.
