‘In every restless heart, there lies a seed of betrayal,’ goes the saying. This also seems to be the idea behind Hawas. The movie’s tagline says that it is an unusual love story.
The film is the story of a young girl whose marriage is running dry of passion because the husband is too busy making money. So, when a stranger comes into her life, she is naturally not able to resist the temptation. But one instance of infidelity can become the seed of guilt in her heart.
Sapna (Meghna Naidu) and Raj (Shawar Ali) are happily married couple living in Dubai. Their marriage seems
an ideal one until Raj begins to spend more time on his work to realize his long cherished dream of moving to US. Sapna feels neglected and can sense the passion and warmth slowly disappear from their relationship.
At this juncture when Sapna is so vulnerable to get carried away into an extra marital relationship, there comes a buoyant young man Ajay (Tarun Arora) into her life. And the expected happens. The two start seeing each other and even cross the ‘forbidden limits’.
It is around this time Raj comes to know of Sapna’s affair with Ajay. A devastated Raj threatens to divorce her. On the other hand, Sapna keeps oscillating between her love for her husband and her infatuation for her young lover. At the same time she also feels guilty for being disloyal to her husband and wants to redeem herself.
