This is a turned-n-tossed version of the Shashi Kapoor-Nanda starrer Jab Jab Phool Khile.
Aamir Khan plays poor country fellow while Karishma Kapoor is a richie rich daughter of industrialist Suresh Oberoi.
Love blooms between Raja and Rani and they get married much against the wishes of Suresh Oberoi. Rani brings Raja to her father's house in the city. Raja feels small amidst the pomp and luxury that are Rani's house and relatives. Humiliated by his wife's family members, he leaves Rani in a fit of rage.
The rest of the story is about the couple's getting back together after clearing all the misunderstandings.
