The film tells the story of a girl who becomes a victim at the hands of bad elements who use hidden cameras to exploit people.
Sunny Deol plays a cop, ACP Arjun Singh, hunting for a London-based kingpin Sudama Pandey
(Mukesh Rishi) who runs a huge racket of sleazy films captured on hidden cameras. Unfortunately, Sunny’s fiancé Sapna (Neha Dhupia) falls in the trap of these bad elements. When she resists the demands of her exploiters, she is murdered.
Sapna’s murder is witnessed by Ammu (Amisha Patel), a mute girl.
With Sudama’s men on her trail, Ammu disappears.
On the other hand, Arjun Singh vows to avenge the killers of Sapna. But he must first find Ammu to know who they are.
Director Harry Baweja says real life incidents inspired him to make ‘Teesri Aankh’. The two incidents that inspired him were – one, the Pune girls hostel case, and second the Bhopal incident when a man planted a hidden camera in a house.
Baweja rubbishes the rumours that Sunny is playing just a marginal role in the film. There is also a song in the movie that has Sunny, known as Mr. stiff-legs, showing his dance skills.
Harry also has a word of praise for Amisha Patel, who, he says, underwent sign language training for her part in the movie.
‘Teesri Aankh’ has been shot in Hyderabad and London.
