Athu Oru Kanaa Kalam signifies the comeback of talented cinematographer-cum-director Balu Mahendra after a long gap.
The film, produced by K.A. Sai Chidambaram, has Rajnikant’s son-in-law Dhanush as the hero. Priya Mani plays the female lead in the movie which has an offbeat theme.
The protagonist is a teenager who runs into a host of problems, and emerges wiser after the experiences he had to undergo. Priya Mani, his girlfriend, is a student.
It is a crucial film for Dhanush , who is passing through a lean patch in his career. It will also test his mettle as an actor.
Balu Mahendra himself has written and scripted the story of the film. He also wields a magical camera, as always.
The star-studded cast includes Karunas, Delhi Ganesh, Thalaivaasal Vijay, Shanmuharajan, Kalairani and Koushik.
