15 people injured on set of Salman's film

A crowd of eager fans gathered in the south part of the ancient fort on Thursday to watch Salman shoot for the Anil Sharma -directed film ‘Veer’. Salman was dressed up as a warrior and was riding a horse.

Many people sat on the wall near the staircases leading to Singhpole to watch the shoot. Suddenly, at half past two, the wall collapsed and people fell over each other, while some were stuck under the debris. To make things worse, a minor stampede followed and led to more injuries.


As many as 15 people, according to reports, were injured. The injured, including children and girls, were rushed to a nearby government hospital from where some of the critically injured were taken further to SMS Hospital.

The injured include six students from Delhi who were on an educational tour of Jaipur.

The police are inquiring into the accident and no case was registered till the last reports came.

Following the incident, the shooting of ‘Veer’ was stopped for a few minutes. Salman was concerned about the people who were injured but he remained on the sets and resumed the shooting after a few minutes.

In the coming days, the film’s actresses Liza Lazarus (a former UK beauty queen) and Zarine Khan would join Salman for shoot at the Amber fort.

A period drama, ‘Veer’ is based on a story penned by Salman.
