She is a lady with myriad talent. More popular as a film and theatre personality, few know Tara Deshpande as a writer.
Making her debut with ‘Fifty and Done’, a collection of verse and short stories, the petite lady is back with ‘A love of Any Kind’.
To be published by Harper Collins, ‘A love of Any Kind’ is again a collection of short stories. However, this time, as revealed by the author herself “the stress is more on verse than stories.” Due to hit the stands in September, the book explores love in all its facets – between siblings, between a parent and a child, between friends, and between husband and wife.
Moreover, inspite of being committed to the muse, Tara hasn’t stalled her acting career on the shelf. She is working on David Dhawan’s new project (which also stars Govinda and Sushmita Sen) and ‘Danger’ (to be directed by Govind Mennon) which will be her next release.
Tara will also feature in a murder mystery movie, which is proposed to be directed by Vijay Kumar. A tour of the USA on the cards and plans are there to stage the noted theatre director Akash Khurana’s play --‘Once upon a fleeting bird’.
Sounds like having too many irons in the fire, but that’s the way it goes for this multi-faceted Tara. And whether she can spin a yarn as good as she can act, come September we will know.
