‘Kaho Na Pyar Hai’ causes a deluge at Screen Awards

The Hrithik Roshan blockbuster Kaho Na Pyar Hai has been nominated in 16 categories, including best film and best actor, for the Seventh Annual Screen Awards, to be held in Mumbai on January 20.
The other films nominated in the best film category are Mohabbatein, Astitva, Mission Kashmir and Josh.
Hrithik Roshan has been nominated not only in the best actor category for KNPH but also as the promising debutante of the year 2000.
Kaho Na Pyar Hai figures in nominations for best director, best performance in comic role, best music director, best background music, best playback singer (male and female), best lyrics, best screenplay, best dialogue, best editing, best sound recording, best choreography and promising newcomer (female).
Among the other contenders for the best actor trophy are, Anil Kapoor for Pukar, Shah Rukh Khan for Mohabattein, Sanjay Dutt for Kurukshetra, Kamal Hassan for Hey Ram.
For the best actress trophy, Aishwarya Rai for Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Tabu for Astitva, Preity Zinta for Kya Kehna, Karishma Kapoor for Fiza and Madhuri Dixit for Pukar are the nominees.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been nominated as the best supporting actor in Mohabattein. Sanjay Dutt in Mission Kashmir, Atul Kulkarni in Hey Ram, Sharad Kapoor in Josh and Shivaji Satam in Nidaan are also in the race with Amitabh.
