Salman Khan, facing charges of poaching protected wild animals, has been allowed by a local court in Jodhpur to go abroad for a film shooting.

Accepting an application moved by Khan's counsel Hasti Mal Saraswat, Judicial Magistrate Dushyant Dutt Sharma yesterday allowed the actor to visit Mauritius from February 25 to March 8.

Seeking the court's permission Saraswat had pleaded that Khan needed to go to Mauritius to participate in the shooting of the film 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' and thus fulfill his professional commitments.

Khan was booked for poaching protected wild animals like black bucks and chinkaras in forest areas here in 1998 when he had come to participate in the shooting of Sooraj Barjatya's film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.
