Protests against screening of 'Girlfriend' continue

Protests against the screening of controversial Bollywood film 'Girlfriend' on lesbianism continued today with activists of Hindu outfits thronging the cinema halls in Indore and Nagpur shouting slogans and staging protests.
In Indore, a group of saffron workers allegedly ransacked the "Man Mandir" cinema hall opposing the screening of Karan Razdan directed-film, police said.
The workers gathered in front of the cinema hall and hurled stones breaking the glass-panes of the doors, police said.
The saffron workers later rushed to two cinema halls in the city where police was deployed in strength to thwart any attempt to cause damage to the property. Both these cinema halls were screening the film.
Meanwhile, police has identified workers of Shiv Sena and Bajrang Dal, who allegedly indulged in violence at the cinema hall and would be registering cases against them, Indore SP, Madhkumar Babu said.
