SCOOP!! & NEWS Anticipatory bail for Meera's sisters25th Oct 2004 23.23 IST By P Sreekumaran The Meera Jasmine episode took a new turn with the Kerala High Court granting anticipatory bail to the sisters of national award-winning Malayalam actress, Meera Jasmine on Monday. The sisters, Jeny Joseph and Jebi Sarah Joseph had moved an anticipatory bail plea in a case registered by the police following a complaint by Meera. The complaint lodged by Meera with the Ernakulam DIG a few days ago had accused her sisters of misappropriation of her earnings and cheating. The bail has been granted on condition that the sisters would not interfere with the investigation of the case. The duo has also been directed to pay Rs 25,000 as surety in the court. Earlier, the police had assured the court that Meera's sisters would not be arrested till Monday, October 25,2004. Meanwhile, the buzz is that patch-up talks are afoot to put an early end to the agonising family feud, which has rocked Malayalam film industry and hogged media glare. Jasmine won the national award for best actress this year for her stunning performance in TV Chandran's "Padam Onnu Oru Vilapam". Soon after, Jasmine became embroiled in the controversy that climaxed in her filing a case against her sisters.
