HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | HAPPENINGS HC stays Khushboo from appearing in court06th Dec 2005 14.02 IST By Agencies The Madras High Court has stayed operation of summons issued by two courts for appearance of film star Khushboo , in connection with her remarks on per-marital sex, and actress Suhashini who had allegedly lent support to Khushboo. The stays were granted on Monday by Justice T V Masilamani on a petition filed by Khushboo and Suhashini. 
In one petition, Khushboo had sought stay of proceedings against her in a Vandavasi court on a defamation suit filed by one V C Karthikeyan for the remarks. The other stay was granted on a petition filed by Suhashini, who sought to stay the operation of summons, for her appearance and that of Khushboo by a Tiruchengode magistrate's court in Namakkal district on a complaint filed by P R A Muthusamy, son of a human rights forum leader. Suhashini also sought stay of another summons issued by the Tiruchengode magistrate's court on another civil suit against her by one Thilagavathi, who felt aggrieved over her expression of support to Khushboo. With the latest stay order, Khushboo has succeeded in securing 19 orders from the Madras High Court and its Madurai Bench, staying summons issued to her by judicial magistrates for her appearance in various courts on civil suits filed against her for the remarks.
