 UP grants tax waiver to Apaharan

The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday decided to grant entertainment tax exemption to Hindi film Apaharan for the next ten years.
The decision in this regard was taken here at the state cabinet meet chaired by Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, official sources said.
The film directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker Prakash Jha , stars Ajay Devgan , Bipasha Basu and Nana Patekar in lead roles.
In the past films like ‘Damul’, Gangaajal , ‘Hip Hip Hurrah’ and ‘Mrityudand’ -- all directed by Jha have won awards and accolades from film critics.
The latest of Jha's film deals with the burning topic of the politico-criminal nexus.
