Veteran Bollywood actress Nadira has been admitted to Bhatia Hospital in Central Mumbai following a paralytic stroke coupled with heart attack, according to hospital sources.
The 74-year-old yesteryear actress is undergoing treatment under Dr Hemant Thacker and she is in intensive care unit of the hospital, Dr Rita Somani who is assisting Thacker said on Monday.
Somani said although her condition was serious when she was admitted four days ago, it was now stable. However, she was still in ICU.
Nadira, living alone and whose relatives stay in Israel, had stopped making public appearances for the last three years, according to Bollywood sources.
A few years back, she had played small roles in Mahesh Bhatt ‘s film 'Tamanna' and Milind Soman 's 'Margaritta'.
