HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | HAPPENINGS Maxim's apology not enough: Khushboo27th Jan 2006 09.15 IST By Agencies The London based magazine Maxim, by publishing an ‘immodest’ picture of hers in its latest Indian edition, had committed an ‘unpardonable’ act and their offer of apology was not ‘acceptable’ to her, popular South Indian actress Khushboo said recently. “The magazine has come forward to offer only an apology, which is not acceptable to me,” she said. 
Khushboo, who is already in the thick of a controversy over her remarks on pre-marital sex, said though she was yet to recover from it, the publication of such a morphed picture, had come as a rude shock. “It is also in very bad taste and I did not expect it,” she said. By publishing it, the magazine has done ‘great damage’ to her popularity, she said. Pointing out that there was no going back on her decision to sue the magazine, Khushboo said the quantum of damages had not yet been decided. The lawyer of the actress, Karthikeyan, had said on Monday she would sue the magazine sometime next week, after its Indian edition used a morphed picture, depicting her in a two-piece suit. It was published in its latest edition. The lawyer said a criminal defamation suit would be filed in the court of the chief metropolitan magistrate in the city, a criminal complaint against the publisher with the police and a suit claiming damages in the High Court.
