HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | HAPPENINGS FIR against Bhansali, four others11th June 2006 10.22 IST By Agencies An FIR was lodged on Saturday against filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and four others by an antique dealer here in connection with the damage caused to furniture during the making of the film Black . Farida Hoosenally lodged the FIR against Bhansali and four officials of Bhansali-Applause Films at Aarey Police Station in Mumbai after the filmmaker refused to pay compensation for the damage caused to the furniture lent by her. 
The furniture was gutted in a fire that broke out on the sets of 'Black.' Hoosenally's lawyer and former IPS officer YP Singh has demanded that the police take immediate action against the accused. A local court had directed Mumbai Police to register a FIR against Bhansali on Hoosenally's complaint. Hoosenally had moved the court after the Mumbai Police did not take cognizance of her complaint and refused to file a FIR. The court has also directed the Mumbai Police to report proceedings of the investigations within two months.
